查普曼学习社区
The 查普曼学习社区 is an award-winning, high-impact program 为 first- and second-year students of all majors, 包括犹豫不决的学生. 成立于1997年, Chapman is designed to teach students how to collaboratively work with local and regional nonprofit agencies to help those in need. Chapman students have many opportunities to serve their community. 目前的机会包括:
- Study poverty and help serve food at a soup kitchen
- Discuss animal rights and assist with animal care at the Humane Society
- Explore ecological sustainability and remove invasive species at a local park

领导
Returning sophomore students (and beyond) become leaders in the community. Chapman 引领ers have an important role within the community. Some of their key responsibilities include:
- 服务 as peer-mentors to first-year Chapman students
- 与毕业生实习生一起工作, 查普曼秘书, CLC导演, 居民顾问, and other Chapman faculty to assist new students with questions, registration and transitioning to life at BGSU
- Plan community service and social events

住宅需求 | First- and second-year students are required to live in the 学习 Community. Third- and fourth-year students serve in a leadership role and do not have to live in the community to be a member. All community residents must choose a roommate who is also a member of the community.
关于社区 | Chapman students live in a diverse population in 麦当劳大厅 along with other highly ambitious and motivated students who are members of other learning communities. 学生工作, live and hang out together to ease the transition to college life, 同时也在帮助社区.

Each community has a set of residence hall rooms specifically designated 为 them. To sign up 为 one of these rooms, you must apply and be accepted into the community. To ensure your chance to live in the community, please complete the following steps:

After you have submitted your request to join a community, you will receive an email from the community director approving your request. When it’s time 为 you to select your room in the next phase, you will be able to view and select rooms within the designated community space in the community’s residence hall. 例如, if you choose to join the 查普曼学习社区, you will select a room in 麦当劳大厅.
